My subjects had no problem with this, either, but we must consider that in our use test it also worked when you simply clicked on the whole button...

Very good idea about how to implement this function in a better way!
Good suggestion!
Anyway I would not say that there has to be an action like "selecting the language" first, but I would except that as a default the spellchecker is always automatically active for the language in which the UI is currently presented.
I agree! And very good idea to simply make both kinds of clicks (right and left) work!
No problem for my subjects.
Was no problem for any of my subjects.

To my surprise, none of my three subjects had any problems to find, but I am not sure they are representative...

I get the point with "not overlapping any buttons" but I think that this depends only on the time for which you display the feedback. I use posteo for example (a program which uses roundcube, as bohlender pointed out to me, maybe the first skin of it?) and always get feedback in the center. But since 1. the feedback window is not too big (see screenshot) and 2. it only appears for a short time (during which I usually cannot do anything anyway just because the program is loading or anything else!) there is no problem like: "I have to wait until the feedback disappears until I go on". So I think when notifications appear in the center, it is a matter of time whether this is irritating or simply good to perceive and thus helpful.

@machniak
I definitely think that the "colorful feedback boxes", as proposed by johnajackson in that thread, would be recognized more easily! (I mean the boxes, that are completely in one color; yet it seemed to me that you were not actually convinced by that suggestion...?)
Yet I am not sure they fix the problem, since the position is definitely the main point. I've tested the program with a friend of mine recently, and his main criticism of the whole program was that he said he "didn't get enough feedback"! Since there actually is quite a lot of feedback (what I know now because I have paid attention to the all those boxes, since I know where they appear), it is definitely a problem of not perceiving it in that corner. My friend added he "would have expected something in the upper part or the center of the site, just a box or a window telling me what had just been done".

@bohlender
I think the problem is (as specified in another ticket) that the "feedback notifications" at the lower right side are often not seen (because of the place and rather short duration)... So in my opinion it depends on how that issue will be fixed: if you decide to display feedback notifications in the center of the site and maybe also a bit longer than now, then I think that it might be ok with the feedback notification...
@bohlender
I think we can move this ticket...
@Alem_V
Also think this is not such an important issue... In addition, as machniak wrote, apparently roundcube also wants to allow usernames without "@", so I think we can drop this issue (since it's not such a huge think to switch keyboards in order to get the "@") ...
Dec 18 2017
@machniak
Ok, thanks for the information, shall I declare the ticket as "invalid" then?
Dec 17 2017
@Elias96
Isn't the main point here that an empty screen opens? Or is the main problem that you want to point out the Create-button? Because if it it's really only about the Create-button, then you would have to demand - for reasons of consistency - to change it (making it bigger, for example) for all situations in the programs where the Create-button is shown (e.g. also for creating new contacts, new folders, etc.) ... Is that what you want? If yes, we would have to change the ticket description, I guess...
Dec 16 2017
Ah, sorry, I should have read well...! :D Thanks again!
@Moritz Actually I would say very necessary because your comment makes clear that this is not only an iOS problem (as I thought after Alem's comment)!!
Thank you, I'll change the ticket description then!
@bohlender
We (Viktoria, Catherine, Annika, Moritz, and Laura) have already discussed this issue in the seminar on Friday, so I think it doesn't need any "validation" from other seminar participants here. The question is, though, whether this is a bug that can be fixed from your side (see Note in the ticket description)...
@Moritz
Could you maybe validate whether this applies to Android as well?

@David__

@EbruKaya
Dec 13 2017
@Moritz
Dec 12 2017
@bohlender
done :)
@Moritz
Maybe add "@bohlender" ;)
Dec 11 2017
@bohlender (und den Rest)
@Testmiriam
Very good point, indeed until reading your ticket right now I didn't even know how to open other folders apart from the inbox (I actually thought there were respectively that somehow it wouldn't be possible to get there, at least not in an easy way) - because I had exactly the same problem as you and always just opened the main menu (and didn't even realize that I actually tapped on the wrong button and therefore opened the wrong option)! So definitely an important issue!!
@Alem_V
Maybe we should create an extra ticket for this (and add, that this occurs ONLY on iPhones/with iOs)...?!
Yes, I realized that as well, but actually I would say that displaying the whole text (not cut at the edges) is not possible (I tried to "zoom out" again and it didn't work) is actually yet another problem...
So, I would actually create another ticket for that problem and maybe edit this one by noting that this is only true for iOs...?!
Maybe true for iPhones/iOs only? I have the same problem ...
Dec 8 2017
@bohlender Yes, I guess so... Shall I add it in the task description and/or title of the task?
Dec 1 2017
@christian @bohlender
@bohlender
Sollen wir das zu invalid verschieben?
@bohlender: Ist es in Ordnung, "zwei Lösungen vorzuschlagen" bzw. wenn nein, kannst du vielleicht nochmal deine Meinung dazu sagen, welche Lösung du besser findest?
Nov 30 2017
On my phone the arrangement is different (better, as I find): all buttons are arranged in a centered way, which is much better concerning the clarity (see screenshot; and never mind the 1; this was for another purpose).
I agree with you!
I had this in a separate ticket first, because I didn't see yours; I would just add this here... :
We had the same problem for the desktop version - maybe you could add a reference to T2891 in your ticket description?
Not quite true, iOS and macOS uses the same symbol e.g. for editing pictures, but I agree with you that it is not as easily recognizable as the cogwheel...
@Moritz Didn't you discuss exactly this issue last time concerning the desktop version? Do you maybe know the ticket title and/or number of it so that we could include it as a reference in the ticket description...?
@bohlender Ist da ein bug? Oder liegt es evtl an meinem Handy?
