ich habe mir mit dem Finden des "Schreiben" Buttons schwer getan. Dieser sollte auch prominenter sein.

Vlt die Schrift des Abmelden Buttons rot (Stichwort vertraute Konzepte).
Und die Leiste mit 'Schreiben' etc. wird ja schon in nem anderen Ticket behandelt, aber ich würde sie auch nicht grau machen (Habe nicht gesehen, dass es noch zu meiner Email-Fenster-Oberfläche gehört).

geht mir auch so: Momentan setzen sich Schreiben und Aktualisieren durch die blaue Farbe durch. Stattdessen gehen andere wichtige Funktionen unter, wie z. B. der Button Abmelden, der in der unteren linken Ecke platziert (und grau) ist. Ich als Nutzer hatte Schwierigkeiten den Abmelden-Button zu finden.

Meint ihr das Problem erübrigt sich, wenn T2765 gelöst ist?

Kommt darauf, wie genau ihr das löst, aber im Prinzip würde ich sagen: Nein, selbst, wenn die "Statusleiste" besser gestaltet ist, finde ich unten links in der Ecke einen schlechten Ort für einen Abmelden-Button!

Ich finde die Position links unten nicht schlecht. Besser als sich aus Versehen auszuloggen, wenn es zu nah bei anderen Funktionen ist.

ich suche ohnehin oft nach (auch abmelde-)schaltern. in der linken spalte alle hauptfunktionen zu versammeln, leuchtet mir ein. "abmelden" ist dann die letzte hauptfunktion, die ich vom programm erwarte.
einmaliges orientieren genügt mir, fürderhin habe ich damit ja das schema verstanden. irgendein schema muss man lernen (zum thema: es gibt kein "intuitives" bedienen...)

Also für mich steht es im Widerspruch zu demjenigen "konzeptuellen Modell", was ich durch andere Email- und sonstige Programme, wo ein Login erforderlich ist, gelernt habe, deswegen finde ich es schwierig, aber wenn die allgemeine Meinung hier eine andere ist, kann der Button natürlich auch links unten verbleiben...

Ich würde vorschlagen, dass wir schauen, wie viele Versuchspersonen beim Usetest daran scheitern / viel zu lange brauchen.

Ja, das ist denke ich ein guter Kompromiss!

This ticket applied to almost all of my participants - instead of clicking the logout button they wanted to close the whole window to log out because they did not find the button. Therefore, I think this ticket should be considered by the software developers. What about the other participants?

Some had issues finding the logout button and searched it in the top right corner.

To my surprise, none of my three subjects had any problems to find, but I am not sure they are representative...

None of my participants hat problems either... I think once they got used to finding all the important features at the left, they expected to be able to log out there as well

I think the problem my participants had was basically that they didn't recognize that you have to click on a special button to log out - I believe they thought terminating the browser session would log them out, too. If the logout button was presented more saliently and/or closer to the other important functions, the option of clicking on a button to log out would be more obvious and therefore probably used more often.

Ok, but I think that normally people know that they have to logout from a (web) program that they have previously logged in to ...
But yes, I agree that making the logout button more salient - i.e. for example to simply always present it in red - is important anyway!

So my suggestion would be - if the majority of subjects had no problem to find the logout button (which is not yet totally clear...), then nevertheless the logout button should always be red, not only when you click on it!

I agree, I think the logout button is much more salient in the current beta version.
