We have no standard definition for "slow", and you're not telling us anything about the system symptoms. High CPU load? High I/O? Memory consumption? Entropy?

Sending invitations uses the same routines as composing a new email message and sending that. As far as we're aware, compose+send under GSSAPI works, bearing in mind Postfix will of course need to be configured for it.

Yeah, there is no aspell-fi at all in Debian.
Maybe this helps even with a "new" installation.

@chaser these are the steps I took get get it working in a test environment on Ubuntu 18.04. This is assuming your running Roundcube installation is at /var/www/html/roundcubemail so you may have to adjust the commands if it is somewhere else.

These warnings does not look relevant, and the syncroton log looks normal. Could you provide imap_debug log? Do you see more requests from the client in http access/error log? I didn't try WindowsMail, but it looks like it just stopped after synchronizing folders hierarchy.
