a little feedback from my side. While using https://mirror.apheleia-it.ch/repos/Kolab:/16:/Testing/Ubuntu_22.04 as source, I was able to install the kolab-packages. So the dependencies are solved. Only one strange thing comes up: the 389-ds package depends on cockpit-389-ds and therefore enforces cockpit to be installed... but this seems to comes from upstream

FWIW, current pykolab master now runs with under python3 on centos8 at least. I'm sure there are still some rough corners, but most part should be working.

I looked into python3 support on centos 8, but I believe we'll have to update the OBS first to get support for modular support.
I'll look into that over the coming weeks and will then look into getting everything up to pykolab python3 ready and packaged.

Python 3 bindings for libkolabxml are on their way and should be available in a few hours once the build finishes.

sqlalchemy.interfaces.PoolListener in pykolab/telemetry.py is deprecated since v0.7 and removed in v1.4
gettext.lgettext is removed in Python v 3.10

Actually, cyruslib.py is not external; it is part of the pykolab package. Its source lies in the root of the pykolab repository.

If the user sends e-mail via an e-mail client to the SMTP server, the presence and content of these headers is controlled by /usr/lib/postfix/kolab_smtp_access_policy which is configured in /etc/kolab/kolab.conf. Reading the source code of the former, I found that X-Authenticated-As: is only being added if an encryption key sender_header_enc_key is set in the kolab.conf. Setting this also avoids setting Sender: and X-Sender: headers (Off-topic: which contained the kolab user name in my case instead of the primary e-mail address). So now I have
