Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Problem
Filter Symbol can be difficult to identify when looking for the filter function

Solution
It might be better to display the whole Filter-bar first (see screenshot below), first meaning when you log in, and then have the possibility to click it away. So just turn the display order around. The bar could then be under the "Posteingang" sign, not covering it.

I thought the filter was a good symbol, but some users had trouble finding this function.

Actually my users didn't have any problmes finding the filter function, it was rather a problem that they clicked on the filter when they should sort the emails according to date etc. ...

@Laura, my users did the exact same thing- any ideas how to distinguish these two functions?

also a good point, maybe even more important.

Carlos mentioned the same in T3610 suggesting to place the "options-sorting" function next to the filter on top. The question is here if placing it next to filter is a good solution, because then you have to very similar functions next to each other. But I basically had the same idea. Do you need one function more then the other, e.g. "sort" more then "filter"?

maybe merge with or continue discussion in T3610?

See T3556! I think this is already a good suggestion of how to solve the problem. So maybe we could continue the discussion there

T3559 also covers the issue that the filter function is hard to find
