Eva: A system administrator at Acme Corp with extensive experience with Kolab Enterprise
Susy: A project manager at Acme Corp
Robert: Knowledge worker at Acme Corp, works part time from home, is a member of Susy's team

UserStory

Robert opens Roundcube Notes and starts editing a note containing the minutes from the morning's team meeting. He realizes he is missing some details that belong in the minutes, and invites Susy to join him in the edit session.
Susy receives a notification of the invite, and clicks on it to join Robert in editing the note.

The collaborative editing session should probably have been available during the meeting, with meeting participants able to read if not write in to the notes as would be deemed appropriate. The collaborative editing session might have started out with the agenda of the meeting.

That being said, the use-case for sending invitations to parties to participate in the collaborative editing session stands. Let's not obscure the objective by moving from "documents" to "very specific types of documents containing very specific contents in very specific scenarios", unless of course each of the specifics have bearing on the actual implementation.
