(pup-1369) Fixed a bug in package/package_settings

Ruby versions >= 1.9.3 (at least) raised the following exceptions
when validating the package_settings:

implicit argument passing of super from method defined by
define_method() is not supported. Specify all arguments explicitly.

This commit fixes the bug.
