2 search fields with the same description "search..." directly next to each other

Description

2 Suchfelder Funktion..JPG (869×1 px, 130 KB)

In the very first calendar interface there are two different search fields directly next to each other. The functions of the searches are unclear.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. search for an already registered entry in the search field directly above the calendar.
  2. the entry will appear.
  3. Search for an entry in the left search.

Actual results:
there are no findings when you search in the left search field.

Expected results:
it says "Search for calendar" and "Search for event" in the search interfaces so that you actually know what to use it for and get a result.

It searches for a calender and it works. Maybe instead of writting "Search..." in the field we could change them to "Search for Calender..." and "Search for event..." ? That would maybe lift the confusion.

Yes that sounds like a good plan so you know what you can enter..

M.Gruber renamed this task from 2 search fields directly next to each other to 2 search fields with the same description "search..." directly next to each other .Nov 9 2018, 11:41 AM

@machniak can we get your feedback on this?

Agreed. I left "Search...." for the main search input and changed the other input to "Find calendars...". I unified all tasks' UI this way. Fixed.
