unread emails hard to distinguish from read emails
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

How to reproduce:
Try to find emails you haven't read, e.g. in inbox

Actual result:
No great distinction between read and unread emails; unread emails are bold and have a star but still are not easy to find immediately
Not clear where one mail ends and the next one begins. Is it first "sender" or first "title of mail"? --> separating line not visible enough

Expected result:
unread emails should be spotted immediately

Suggested solution: Solution:
increase contrast/weight of the separating lines between mails.

ich kenns von anderen e-mail programmen allerdings auch nur so, dass die ungelesen e-mails eben schwarz und fett sind und die anderen grau
Ist das bei euch anders?

We have two indicators for unread: bold text and star icon. In the latest version (beta.kolabnow.com/apps) the star colored yellow.
It should be sufficient.
Was this an actual problem in the usetest?

it wasn't a problem but the tested person commented this after the test; if the star is yellow now I think it is sufficient

I actually find it sufficiently distinguishable.
For me the problem would - if we want to term this a problem - rather be an insufficient separation between the emails, this is, there should be maybe be a clearer line between the separate emails... What do the others think?

see also T3430 for the exact point of separation between the mails

@Nikolai
Ah, thanks! Should I merge T3430 then and suggest a clearer separation by lines as a solution to this issue...?

I would say so. Just more contrast for the existing lines.
