Note: the same things that are criticized here were also criticized with respect to the navigation column of the desktop version (cf. T3041).
Steps to reproduce:
Click on button to open the main menu
- once when having been at the the startpage/inbox before
- once when having been in the "contacts" area before
- once when having composed a new email before
Actual results/Problem:
A changing number of options - 7 after having been in the inbox/mail area before VS. 6 after having been in the "contacts" area before VS. 5 after having composed an email (see screenshots!) - are presented, dependent on the are in which you have been before, and the buttons are presented in a different order: e.g. the "Mail" button ist once in the first, once in the second and once in the third position (see screenshots)!
--> Inconsistency confuses user and leads to less efficiency since more time is needed to operate the system because the user always has to "re-orient" himself on what options and in which order are now available to him (he cannot learn to operate the system by internalizing the places of the buttons and then at some point click on them more or less "automatically" just because he/she knows where they are)!
Expected results/Solution:
The number of buttons/areas available is always the same
AND
The buttons/areas available are always in the same order.
