Note: The samethe same things that are criticized here were also criticized with respect to the navigation column of the desktop version (cf. ).
**Steps to reproduce:**
Click on button to open the main menu
- once when having been at the the startpage/inbox before
- once when having been in the "contacts" area before
- once when having composed a new email before
**Actual results/Problem:**
Different buttons/areas of the main menu have unclear/confusing colors:
"Compose"- and "refresh"-button are blue (for some unclear reason) and therefore more dominant than the other buttons.
"Active" area is represented by white button.
--> This gives the impression that blue is the currently active function/area when in fact the active funtion is shown in white writingA changing **number** of options - 7 after having been in the inbox/mail area before VS. This is not s6 after having been vis-a-visin the dominant blue buttons"contacts" area before VS. Thus, it might not be clear to the user which option he is currently working with.
Currently inactive areas are gray --> Problem: gray signals "function cannot be selected/is unavailable" (cf.5 after having composed an email (see screenshots!) - are presented, dependent on the are in which you have been before, other programs) although in this case those buttons actually are available/clickable!
Expected results/Solution:
Currently active option should be blue.**and** the buttons are presented in a different order!
--> Inconsistency confuses user and leads to less efficiency since more time is needed to operate the system because the user always has to "re-orient" himself on what options and in which order are //now// available to him (he can**not** //learn// to operate the system by internalizing the //places// of the buttons and then at some point click on them more or less "automatically" just because he/she knows where they are)!
**Expected results/Solution:**
Currently inactive option (usually only one!) should be white. The number of buttons/areas available is **always the same**
AND
The buttons/areas available are always in the **same order**.
