Is it possible to get webcal support in the calendar?
Hello,
I installed Kolab 16 on centOS 7 with the installation Guide from Kolab.
Now I've one problem with the ActiveSync.
When I go directly in the browser: https://myserver/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync I can login and the page ItWorks appears.
Now when I'm trying to setup my android device I got the error message "Can't connect to server" on android side.
In the kolab side /var/log/kolab-syncroton/errors.log I've this errors:
[23-Jul-2019 16:19:36 Europe/Lisbon] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Syncroton_Exception_NotFound' with message 'Device creation failed' in /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/kolab_sync_backend_device.php:70 Stack trace: #0 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/ext/Syncroton/Server.php(442): kolab_sync_backend_device->create(Object(Syncroton_Model_Device)) #1 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/ext/Syncroton/Server.php(118): Syncroton_Server->_getUserDevice('3', Array) #2 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/ext/Syncroton/Server.php(70): Syncroton_Server->_handlePost() #3 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/kolab_sync.php(176): Syncroton_Server->handle() #4 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/index.php(31): kolab_sync->run() #5 {main} thrown in /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/kolab_sync_backend_device.php on line 70 [23-Jul-2019 16:19:36 Europe/Lisbon] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Syncroton_Exception_NotFound' with message 'Device creation failed' in /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/kolab_sync_backend_device.php:70 Stack trace: #0 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/ext/Syncroton/Server.php(442): kolab_sync_backend_device->create(Object(Syncroton_Model_Device)) #1 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/ext/Syncroton/Server.php(118): Syncroton_Server->_getUserDevice('3', Array) #2 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/ext/Syncroton/Server.php(70): Syncroton_Server->_handlePost() #3 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/kolab_sync.php(176): Syncroton_Server->handle() #4 /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/index.php(31): kolab_sync->run() #5 {main} thrown in /usr/share/kolab-syncroton/lib/kolab_sync_backend_device.php on line 70
Can someone help me?
Thank you
I tried to upgrade a kolab debian 9 installation to debian 10 using http://obs.kolabsys.com/repositories/Kolab:/16/Debian_10.0/. Debian 10 installs PHP 7.3 with no support for 7.0. No new versions of "/usr/lib/php/20151012/kolab*.so" (kolabcalendaring.so, kolabformat.so) were installed to the php7.3 folder "./usr/lib/php/20180606", though. Is there any fix avaible?
I just ran an update of a kolab 16 installation we are evaluating, which resulted into not being able to login on to round cube or ActiveSync. I did some digging and noticed that several services ( kolab-saslauthd, kolabd, wallace) had failed due to a dependency on the 'six' module for python. All services and functionality resumed operation when that one was pip installed.

Hi All. I started testing Kolab in PLESK (PLESK Premium Email) and everything went well until last week, when I started activating more clients on the "FREE" option. Then it started to hog memory and CPU. I had it as bad as eating up 50GB of RAM and maxing out 12xCPU's. The cuplrit is beam.smp. Once I removed PLESK Premium Email, the problem went away. Did anyone experience the same problem? I am managing 280 email addresses across 95 domains and we were hoping to get all of them on PLESK Premium Emal, but now it seems it will not be possible
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone felt rather uncomfortable exposing the kolab-webadmin to the public when enabling ActiveSync over port 443. To rephrase this, I was wondering if anybody is running kolab-webadmin on a different port than port 443, and did it successfully. If so, I would appreciate it if the wisdom could be shared as to how to.
Hi team, this is to inform you that can anyone have done or know how to implement password policy on kolab roundcube webmail.Password policy in the sense password expired and user must forcefully change the password before expiration
Kolab itself does not seem to have such a setting. However, have you read these articles? Some people seem to advise against password reset policy: https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/blog-post/problems-forcing-regular-password-expiry
I supppose you can set LDAP password expiry as in https://directory.fedoraproject.org/docs/389ds/design/password-controls.html then modify the php files to facilitate a password reset.
Ok.But i am not getting anything ffrom the link.IN case you have d solution then must share with me.
Hi team have you got any idea for password expiration policy

- Then install arcanist (arc) on your dev system. Debian10 for example has arcanist in their package repository nowadays. For Centos and the setup instructions you can checkout Timo's blog entry: https://www.pokorra.de/de/2017/12/submitting-patches-to-kolab-via-phabricator-2/
- configure arcanist
- Do your commits in your fix-branch locally
- call "arc diff" and follow the instructions to create a "DIFF" which will apear here on phabricator
Ah thank you very much :)
I think I successfully uploaded my changes. Can you confirm to me, that the following commit arrived:
"Update sabre/vobject to version 4.3.5
Increase php version to 5.5"
If yes, I will upload my import calendar fix and (if you want) the caldav support as well ( :)
Is there any way for me to know, if my commits have been accepted - or if I need to do some changes to it?
Hello, I just wanted to ask if there is any way to see if my oull requests have been successfully uploaded (and are acceptable).
Most of my changes to calendar depend on the updated libcalendar which is why I either need to wait for you guys to update sabre/vobject or fork the whole project (which i'd rather not :) )
hello i would delete my account from here, but i can't find any way to do it
Sorry i need to be more spec

Is there any chance that you would ever update libcalendaring to use sabre/vobject 4?
sabre/vobject 3 is over a decade old and has problems with other roundcube plugins.
libcalendarring only needs minor changes. In fact, this fork already has all the necessary changes:
