it resizes, if i change the english name/discription. Unfortunatelly I'm unable to change the language in our docker setup, so I can't test that properly.

one way to get at least the traslations of the desktop files:

cat <<EOF >> ~/.kde4src/share/config/kdeglobals
[Locale]
Language=de
EOF
kbuildsycoca4

Everytime you change the desktop files (f.ex /work/install/share/kde4/services/kontact/zanshin-tasks_plugin.desktop) run kbuildsycoca4 afterwards.
