Adding an event in the monthly view generates an all-day event
Open, LowPublic

Description

When wanting to add an event in the monthly view, the preprogrammed time frame is all-day, although it is rare that an all-day event is added.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Select monthly overview.
  2. Double click on a day to create an event.

Actual result:
The preset time is all-day.

Expected result:
The preset time is 10:00 o'clock.

Wish: To have the option of choosing the time frame first.

Just an example. It doesn't really matter what time, but it shouldn't be an all-day event.

I would suggest there to be no default at all. Maybe something like "--" to indicate that the time frame has to be selected.

I am not sure about this. Thisway you could create an event that does not have any start time. My usual Calender always puts 10 o'clock and that too is annoying most of the time. You will have to change it anyway, so why do not change from all day to a specific time?
The only thing I would get would be a separate window opening asking to enter the time!

I think what is not intuitive is to have to turn the "ganztägig" button off in order to enter a time. There is no obvious way to type in a time without turning the "ganztägig" button off. I would also prefer a "Select" window with the possibility to choose "ganztägig".

I would suggest that in the time frame the indication of "select time" is shown, and next to these fields, you still have the option of turning the "all day" button on. This way, it would be the same as creating an event in the weekly view, with the only difference being that the time frame can be selected without a default time given.
