Description

Capture 1.PNG (1×2 px, 99 KB)

Whilst trying to create an event:
Too many icons for the participants are confusing.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create an event on any day
  2. Go to the Category "Participants"
  3. Go to "Find Availablitiy"
  4. In the legend there are the Icons shown, with their meaning

Actual result: Getting confused by all the different choices.

Expected result: There should be only two options "free" (frei), "booked" (gebucht)

I also don't understand the "absent" option. if there's an event that the participant is absent to he isn't there so then this event doesn't need to be in his calendar right?

But the others might need to see if he is absent?

I guess you could see it as a cancellation? Kind of like an event, that everyone has to confirm or cancel?

I also don`t get the "Leadership" icon? What is that for?

well, someone might be chairing the event, right?

I also would understand "absent" as cancellation, but I would also prefer clearer meaning.

But if the person has cancelled the event or is absent it the event why does the event even need to be in the person's calendar?

No it is for the others to see who is absent?!

But if you can create an event and click "see availability" isn't that too early to know who will be absent? Isn't that only possible after the event has been created and then the person declines?

Or does this pop up when the person already has another event at the same time?

The Icons of who the people are and more than the options "Booked" and "Free" are unnecessary and lead more to confusion rather than a needed bonus.
