Calendar entries are not visible in the calendar outline in the left corner
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The main calendar in which the user can make his entry is synchronized with the calendar overview in the left corner in terms of which month is shown. It would be more clear and consistent if registered dates are also visual in the left corner calendar by marking those days with for example an point.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. make a new entry in the main calendar.
  2. see the entry appear with title in an colour block.

Actual results:
In the calendar in the left corner there is no change that shows there is an entry for that day.

Expected results:
There is some kind of marking that there is an entry at the day. maybe a dot? or a circle around the date? This would create more consistency and clearity.

I agree that this could be useful so you know on which days you have events.

I don't think I would need that, but if others do we should add it. Maybe do an option? That you can change the settings and turn the feature on or off?

this would clutter up the UI for a minimal debatable benefit.

Would anyone else think of it as helpful to have events marked in the smaller calendar? like a circle around the day?

If I imagine that in my calender, I would have a circle around every day because there is something small going on or just a birthday, that would not help me at all as I still wouldn't know if I have time e.g. In the evening.

isabel.pacheco claimed this task.

I wouldn't mind it either way. In the apple calendar there is a little dot below the date and it kinds helps know when you have events and when you don't But if you put all your events in your calendar there would probably be a dot everywhere so there would be no value in that.

Regarding small things like birhtdays, there could be a feature like not showing certain calendars in the dots.

Overall I don't mind having no dot below the date. In my opinion we don't need this ticket.
