We discovered two problems with LDAP distribution groups:

  1. If user adds a LDAP distribution group (in the screenshot group name is ITM-B14) to his appointment it is not automatically expanded and also not possible to manually expand it. But if the user selects a local group from his contacts (in the screenshot group name is BAU) it is automatically expanded (means the single users are listed).
  1. A LDAP group is not added to the appointment if the user clicks on the search result. User has to click on the add button. This behaves different for single users or a local group, a click on the search result adds the users automatically to the attendee list. But maybe this is related to the first problem.

Groups with email address specified will not be expanded with their members.

I can confirm one issue here. If the results list contains both groups and users, selecting a group will not add it to the list. It works if the result contains only groups.

It actually is Roundcube core change. This was partially fixed in git-master. Fixed in release-1.1 with commits: 6fb8da08f, 1123f39cf and 9b8db4c9e.
