The Wire Swiss messenger has become Free Software on 22nd of July.

Source code is now available on GitHub and there is an interview with the CTO on Medium about their move. In their own comparison chart vs other messengers, it looks like a rather interesting candidate for Kolab.

We should look into the technology, and see how, where, and in which way this might integrate with Kolab.
